Winter makes a comeback
Finland 17-23 May 2008. We arrived two days late thanks to problems with our Ryanair flight requiring us to return home for 24 hours then go out via Riga, Latvia, for half a day! Upon touchdown, the temperatures dropped and snow set in as we headed north for our encounter with Europe's largest land-carnivores... This would prove to be the coldest mid-spring period in Finland for a decade. The snow commenced during the early hours of our first morning and it then snowed on and off for the next 4 days.
