Welcome to the KowaPower galleries! My latest galleries feature a collection of Recent SLR images taken on my Canon SLRs; a wintery trip to Finland undertaken in May 2008 for owls, woodpeckers and bears; plus a remarkable duel between two Spotted Redshanks in their striking breeding dress (June 2007); memories of a fantastic trip to Shetland in October 2007 in which rare birds popped up like desert flowers after a long dry spell; highlights from a trip to the high Arctic and Spitsbergen in June 2006; the Northern Bottlenose Whale that became stranded in the Thames in January 2006, resulting in a huge level of public interest and sympathy for its eventual demise; and of course there's the KowaPower Favourites gallery that has a selection of my original digiscoped UK bird photos, while the Digiscoping Tips gallery (under development) gives pointers to those new to digiscoping to help improve their technique.
